Head Coach: David Kahn

This is Coach Kahn's third year as head coach, having been an assistant coach for two seasons. Coach Kahn competed in youth bowling leagues throughout his high school years at Buffalo Grove High School, and after taking time off during his college years, he then bowled in several couples’ leagues with his wife and their friends. Coach Kahn has achieved Bronze Coaching Certification through the United States Bowling Congress.
Coach Kahn has also been teaching Uechi-ryu Karate for over twenty-five years and is well-known nationally as a highly sought out seminar teacher and tournament referee. Over the years, he has coached many of his students to numerous tournament victories.
Coach Kahn received his BA degree from Brandeis University, as well as an MA in Teaching from National-Louis University and an MS in Geosciences from Mississippi State University. He is currently working on a Doctorate in Educational Leadership through Olivet Nazarene University. A National Board Certified Teacher, Coach Kahn currently teaches science at LHS, after having spent nearly twenty years working in pharmacy administration. He is married to Debbie, a National Board Certified special education teacher, and they have two daughters, Jami and Talia.
