2012-13 Libertyville High School College Programs and Area College Fairs

These evening programs will offer parents the opportunity to ask questions of the CRC and counselors in a relaxed, informal setting.  Each program focuses on a specific grade level.  All Q & A programs will be in the Studio Theatre.

All seniors will attend this assembly after their senior class photo to go over application procedures and deadlines.

All senior parents should attend this workshop to learn the details about the application process and college deadlines.  Hear from parents who have survived the college process.

This program is for all 9^th – 12^th graders who are considering college athletics.  Learn about the NCAA eligibility process, recruiting, and deadlines.  Seniors who are considering college sports but have not attended this program before are highly encouraged to attend.

Timmi Turley, our UI-UC rep, will present to interested juniors, seniors, and parents.

All juniors and parents should attend this program as we start the college search process.  Why do you want to go to college?  Where do you start?  What factors should be important?  This program will help you plan ahead.

All students and parents are welcome, but seniors and parents should definitely attend to learn more about applying for financial assistance AND scholarships.

PLAN test results will be distributed and explained.  This short presentation is a great jump start to college planning. 

Explanation of PSAT results.

Senior families will have the opportunity to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the help of a college financial aid professional.  Pre-registration is required for this program.

All juniors and parents should attend this workshop as we tackle the tough questions:  How do colleges review my application?  How do I start my college essay?  Public or Private?  Representatives from a wide variety of schools will fill you in on the details.

Frank Palmasani, author of Right College, Right Price, will join us to talk about his Financial Fit Program to keep college affordable.

Seniors are invited to the CRC to celebrate their post-graduate decisions.  Complete scholarship and final transcript forms, put your pin in our college map, and get your Senior T-shirt!
