District 128 Staff utilize “ConnectNow” technology to experience new student data management system
In the fall of 2010, District 128 will launch a new student data management system called, PowerSchool. On Feb. 26, District 128 staff participated in the first of many training opportunities to learn about Power School. Through the help of staff who volunteered to be “Power Peers,” and a new technology called Adobe ConnectNow, staff members in locations at both high schools simultaneously participated in a training program lead by the District technology trainer. Through PowerSchool, parents and students will have access to student performance information. District 128 will embark on new ways to communicate and provide feedback to students and parents through this new software. Teachers will have new tools to incorporate all stakeholders in the learning process. Teachers will eventually be able to analyze, adjust and enhance daily classroom instruction based on the student performance data collected.
